Our Policies.
We appreciate your business and want to continue offering quality and variety that you can't find at any other dance studio in Edmonton. Here's how we keep our standards high and our schedule flexible.
Find What You Need.
Seven core policies — jump straight to the one you're looking for.
Class Registration & Attendance.
Pre-registration is required for every class you'd like to attend.
Pre-registration & class minimums
Pre-registration is required for any and all classes you wish to attend. Clients who pre-register are given first priority — many of our classes have limited space and walk-in clients are not guaranteed admittance.
Classes with four (4) or fewer clients registered 5 hours prior to class time are subject to cancellation at management's discretion. Please register in advance to help us manage our schedule and class sizes.
No overlapping classes
Please select your classes carefully and do not register for classes that overlap each other. Some aerial and pole classes run at the same times and end at different times — but without a cool down or warm up in one or the other, this can cause injury. It's also disruptive to other students when people are jumping in or out at different times. There are plenty of options available; please view the schedule to select classes you can complete in full.
Advancing levels (Pole & Aerial)
Attendance in our Pole and Aerial level classes is strictly monitored for safety and liability reasons.
Pole: minimum of eight (8) classes of your current level required to advance.
Aerial: minimum of twelve (12) classes of your current level required to advance.
Once minimum attendance is reached, clients must undergo a "Level Up" assessment with their instructor to demonstrate their capability to advance. Taking at least one class per week (if not more) will help you progress faster than taking classes infrequently — just like any other fitness regimen, the more you put in, the better the results.
Pole and aerial students with previous experience visiting Aradia Fitness for the first time should email edmonton@aradiafitness.com for a consultation on appropriate level placement.
Refunds.
Clear timelines so there are no surprises.
Class passes & individual credits
Refunds will not be offered for class passes or individual credits. Extension of pricing options (credit) beyond expiry dates may be granted at management's discretion in cases of a medical condition or injury preventing use before expiry.
It is the student's responsibility to be aware of the expiry date of class credits when purchasing, and to book and attend classes before they expire.
Cancellation refund schedule
Within 48 hours of your first class — no refund.
2–6 days before your first class — full refund minus a $20.00 administration fee.
7+ days before your first class — full refund.
Missed sessions of a 6-week pass
If you were unable to attend multiple sessions of your 6-week session pass, you may not use those credits towards another class — you've already taken a space in the original class you registered for. Instead, you are eligible for free practice sessions if you miss a class.
Party & Event Deposits.
Reserving your date and time for a private party, workshop, or event.
Reserving your date — non-refundable deposit
To reserve your preferred date and time for a private party, workshop, or event, we require a non-refundable deposit for the one-hour Standard Studio Package, or $150 for any Extended Studio Party Package or Party Add-on.
The deposit is applied against the total cost of the party or workshop — you pay the balance the day of the event.
Rescheduling & cancellation
The deposit is non-refundable, but you can reschedule your party to another date up until 14 days before your chosen date.
If you cancel altogether 14 days or more before your reserved date, the deposit can be applied as a credit toward future classes or services in the studio.
Same-day time changes
We will always attempt to accommodate rescheduling the time of your party within the same day — depending on availability — with no penalty.
Exceptions to this policy may be made due to extenuating circumstances at the sole discretion of studio management.
Late Cancel & No-Show.
Cancellation windows help us manage scheduling and give waitlisted students a chance to attend.
Pre-registration is required for all classes, workshops, and appointments. The late cancellation window is the minimum amount of time before the scheduled start required to give adequate notice that you will not be attending. Different types of classes have different windows — this aids the studio in scheduling and allows waitlisted students an opportunity to attend.
It is the student's responsibility to cancel their registration using our online system or app. If that's not possible, cancellation via email or phone may be acceptable, but should be arranged in advance with studio management.
If Aradia cancels a class due to low registration, inclement weather, instructor illness, or any other reason, and you have pre-registered and pre-paid, your credit will revert to your account. In the event of cancellation near the end of your credit's expiry, extensions may be made at management's discretion.
Exceptions to this policy may be made at the discretion of management only.
Late For Class.
Attendance will not be permitted after 10 minutes from the start of class.
This is due to safety regulations for our warm-up process, and to ensure minimal disruption to the other participants in class.
Memberships.
A quick overview of how membership billing and contracts work.
CREDIT CARD ON FILE. A valid credit card is required for all memberships, and monthly dues are automatically charged. Alternate payment arrangements must be discussed with studio management.
PAPERLESS CONTRACTS. Membership agreements are paperless and maintained in the online registration system. The member must confirm the contract online, or the studio owner will confirm on their behalf with the member's written authorization. This is a binding contract and your electronic confirmation is equivalent to a signature.
PRE-REGISTRATION STILL REQUIRED. Pre-registration for all classes is still required and should be managed through the online registration system.
Privacy & Class Conduct.
Safety and comfort are our top priorities. Here's what we ask of every student.
Clients are expected to be respectful and attentive in classes. Exercises should be limited to those directed by your instructor — students who choose to attempt exercises outside what's being taught may be asked to leave class with no refunds.
At times, your instructor may not allow you to attempt a new technique. Please trust this judgement — it's about your safety and your progress, not about holding you back.
Aradia Fitness has not, and never will, condone bullying, harassment, body shaming, racism, homophobia, transphobia, sexual misconduct, or any other behaviour that is hurtful to others. We stand firmly with you against any expression of hatred — full stop.
We're Happy To Help.
If anything here is unclear, please reach out — we'd rather you ask than guess.
